7 Ways to Decrease The Risk of Breast Cancer and Live a Healthy Life

October 22, 2013, in honor of breast cancer awareness month, Priscilla Q. Williams, RN, Author, Speaker, Health & Wellness Coach and Nurse Consultant presented an awesome webinar on decreasing the risks of breast cancer.

According to Priscilla Q. Williams, RN, there are at least 7 ways to decrease breast cancer and live a healthy life.  The 7 ways include:

  • Exercise
  • Eating Healthy
  • Reducing Stress
  • Limiting Alcohol Consumption
  • Knowing Your Family History
  • Annual Breast Exams
  • Considering Genetic Testing

She emphasized the importance of “taking action”  early.  However, we learned that too many women wait until it’s too late and as a result the mortality rate is higher than it has to be.  She provided great insights on and examples of easy ways to decrease the risk but stated clearly that those steps must be taken on a consistent basis.
